Location
Generally the best place to hold a party is your own home. However if you feel this isn’t practical other options can be arranged. Parties can be held at kids play centres, event rooms, even the local pub!
Atmosphere
The atmosphere at your party is obviously important and depends on who you are planning to invite and the time of day you plan to hold your party.
You could aim for glitzy night in and have music playing in the background, dim the lights and ask all your friends to bring a bottle of wine and come along done up like they were going out partying!
Or, if you’re planning to have your party during the day you could have a much more relaxed attitude and maybe offer teas and coffees instead!
If you’re a parent you could even combine your Avon party with a play day and invite friends to bring their kids along too so they can play while you try products!
The Benefits for You
There are plenty of reasons to host an Avon party, not least of which is it’s a great chance to get together with all your friends and have some girly time!
Other benefits include:
You get 10% of the total orders from your party to spend in the brochure (i.e. if your guests order £100 of products in total you get £10 off your order, £200 = £20 off your order and £300 = £30 off your order!) So it’s in your best interest to invite as many people as you can and get them all to bring a friend!
I provide everything needed for the party; the only things you need to provide are the friends! You can even ask each friend to bring a bottle of wine or something for a buffet so you don’t need to provide food or drinks either!
A Typical Party
A typical party will last around 2 hours (although this is flexible) and will be broken down into different sections.
An example of a typical running order is shown below:
Firstly when everyone has arrived and settled I will do a short introduction to tell everyone a little bit about Avon and how ordering works, I’ll also show one or two Avon ‘favourites’. Then you and your guests will have a chance to look at and try the products on display or ask me any questions. If you choose to have a raffle tickets can be bought at this point.
After about half an hour I’ll ask everyone to take a seat again and do a game or two and show another few products.
After about another half an hour of mingling I will do an-other game or demonstration (such as a skin care range).
There will be another half an hour for guests to try products and I’ll finish up with drawing the raffle or a final game.
Finally I’ll help you tidy up and work out how much you earned off your order!
Theme
There are many theme’s available when it comes to parties and although the ideas listed below are the most popular I am always willing to hear any new suggestions you may have!
Spring clean your make up bag – a good opportunity to throw out the old and get new makeup.
Foot Spa Party - ask each of your friends to bring along a foot spa or bucket and a towel and I’ll provide a range of foot soaks, scrubs and creams for everyone to try!
Make-Up Madness - this one goes perfectly with the blind-fold makeovers game (see Games and Competitions). I’ll provide a whole range of makeup products for your guests to try out.
Accessories! Accessories! Accessories! - For this theme I’ll provide accessories from the Avon range, including bags, jewellery, scarves and more!
Perfume Bonanza! - With so many different perfumes to choose from it’s always difficult to pick! Why not choose a perfume party, giving you a chance to sample many perfumes from Avon’s huge range!
Head-to-toe Pamper Party - If you really can’t decide between all the great themes listed here you can always have a head-to-toe party, with products from all of Avon’s ranges to try out!
